My Story
An honest account of faith, family, and the cost of following Christ.
Roots in Zanzibar
Salma Said Ali was brought up as a devout Muslim on the island of Zanzibar. Faith, family, and tradition shaped every part of her early life.
A new life in England
Following the failure of her first marriage she re-married and joined her husband in England. Here, through the prophetic ministry of one man, she was confronted time and again by revelation of the Lord Jesus Christ.
Dreams, Scripture, and a seven-day fast
Challenged by a Christian to pray and fast for seven days, the revelations she received — through Scriptures, prophecies, dreams and other heavenly signs — convinced her that Jesus Christ (Issa Al-Masih) is the divine Son of God, God made human.
Baptism and secret faith
Salma obeyed the command of God and was baptised. For several years she walked as a secret believer, holding fast to her new faith.
The cost of confession
When she eventually confessed her faith to her family, she faced the rejection, criticism, and accusations she knew would come — yet bore it for the sake of her new faith.
